Chemistry department was established in 1925 and was
headed by a. D. Aijerton Gray, professor of organic
chemistry and the first Egyptian head of the Section is
a. D. Ahmed Zaki 1931. The department then major
disciplines of chemistry (membership, non-organic,
physical and analytical), after the return from missions
abroad Hadhevic swearing other disciplines and organic
chemistry, physical chemistry, quantum theory and
chemistry and polymer chemistry. The chemistry

other devices. A number of professors on the degree of
Doctor of Science, got a large number of faculty members
at the State prizes discretion and incentive as well. It
also won a number of other members of the faculty awards
for scientific excellence States, as well as some Third
World Prize. The number of research of some professors,
more than 300 scientific research published in
scientific journals worldwide specialist. PSAS among the
enormous experience of many faculty members are involved
in many national and international committees and
development projects and scientific consultancy.
