The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science,
Cairo University is organizing the fifth
International Conference in Chemistry "Green and Sustainable
Chemistry in Developing Countries" for four days (3-6 March
2008). Its is a biannual conference dedicated to promoting
advances in different fields of chemistry, and is held in the
premises of the Department, its purpose is to assess the
current state of the art in green chemistry and discuses the
role of chemical research and science in advancing environmental
protection and sustainable development.
Green (Sustainable) Chemistry
is a good keyword for the promotion of chemistry and chemical
technology, for the cooperation between developed and developing
Countries, as well as the establishment of good relationships
between chemistry and society including the environment.
The conference promises to be as exciting as the past events.
However, many important issues concerning global environment
will be addressed. It will offer more opportunities for
participants to interact, exchange ideas and provide a platform
for potential future collaborations among its participants.
